First, the Four Noble Truths are the foundation of the teachings by the all Buddhas. So Our Gautama Buddha also taught us the same. As the Great Ones disciples We definitely must know this basics. Because they are profound yet practical for comprehending the challenges of our life and finding a path for inner peace and also stop the Samsara journey (Reincarnation). Let's see these truths one at a time.
1. The Truth of Suffering (Dukkha Arya Satya).
2. The Cause of Suffering (Dukkha Samudaya Arya Satya).
3. The End of Suffering (Dukkha Nirodha Arya Satya).
4. The Path of the End of Suffering (Dukkha Nirodha Gamini Patipada Arya Satya).
1. The Truth of Suffering (Dukkha Arya Satya).
Life is so full of disappointments and disgruntlements. We can experience from birth to aging, illness, and even death, the life is full of suffering. But, it is not restricted to major events of life. This truth is never changed there for it is called "Noble Truth". Everyone has to face this truth.
* Key Point :- Suffering needs to be recognized as the first step to understand life at depth.
2. The Cause of Suffering (Dukkha Samudaya Arya Satya).
The Blessed one taught above suffering has a cause, primarily 'craving' (tanha). This craving arises from attachment to things, desires, and even ideas. For example, wanting something we don't have or fearing losing what we love leads to unhappiness.
* Key Point :- Suffering is not a random thing; it has identifiable roots.
3. The End of Suffering (Dukkha Nirodha Arya Satya).
There is hope! The Buddha explained that it's possible to end suffering by letting go of craving and attachment. When we stop clinging, we achieve a state of peace and contentment called Nirvana.
* Key Point :- Freedom from suffering is attainable. This is very important too, So keep this in your mind.
4. The Path of the End of Suffering (Dukkha Nirodha Gamini Patipada Arya Satya).
This is called as 'Magga' as well. The Lord Buddha outlined a practical path, known as the "Noble Eightfold Path", to overcome suffering. Let's see it in brief for now:
